My Approach
My practice is non-pathologising, trauma informed, collaborative and creative.
I consciously create a containing and non-judgemental space. I understand that the therapeutic relationship is vital in developing emotional safety, which can take time to build.
The therapy I provide is client-led, meaning we will always work at your pace. I use creative and embodied tools to help deepen self-expression and understanding, but this will always be tailored to what you need. I use therapeutic frameworks such as ‘part work’ to encourage self-compassion and self-understanding.
I am committed to ensuring my practice is anti-oppressive and am dedicated to decolonising my practice through continued reading, learning (and unlearning), attending training, workshops and conferences, and regular supervision.
I have experience working with refugee and asylum seeker communities, primary, secondary and SEN schools, alternative provisions, adult psychiatric hospitals and in charities.
I currently work full time in the NHS, providing therapy for young people who are in the care system, adopted and unaccompanied minors.
I work with people who may be struggling to engage in their lives in a meaningful way, finding it hard to connect with others or feelings of being overwhelmed. I also work with people who are driven to understanding themselves more, or are wanting to regulate their nervous systems. Finding a way that works best for you is crucial whether that is talking, creating or working somatically.
